Quick start

1. Open DepositPay → Deposit rules → New rule. Choose the deposit (e.g. 30%) and when the balance is charged (after N days, on fulfillment, or manually). Pick the products.
2. In Online Store → Themes → Customize → Products → Default product, add the block Deposit payment option above the Add to cart button.
3. Place a test order. It appears under Balances with the outstanding amount and charge date.

FAQ

Which payment gateways work? Shopify Payments, PayPal Express, Stripe and Adyen support vaulted payments for deferred purchases. Other gateways will not show the deposit option at checkout.

Does the customer get one order or two? One order with two payments. Shipping and taxes are collected with the deposit, so the balance is exactly the remaining product amount.

What if the balance charge fails? The App retries automatically (configurable), emails the customer, and alerts you after the last attempt. You can retry from Balances at any time.

Can I use it with POS, draft orders or B2B? No — Shopify does not support deferred purchase options there.

Does DepositPay take a cut of my sales? No. Flat monthly subscription only.
